Community Services and Outreach Programmes

Day 3 of the Pacific Rim Peace Road 2020:

Held on December 5th at the Government Prayer House. 

Ministers and youth representatives of different religions attended the event including the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the Baha’i Faith, EFKS, and All-Saints Anglican Church. Representatives from each of these faiths took part in an Inter-faith Water Ceremony to promote world peace and the unification of all religions.The Keynote Address was given on behalf of the Prime Minister by Hon. Tuitama Dr. Leao Talalelei Tuitama.

Dr Rafia Naz was the receipient of the Ambassador of Peace Award.

                              Officially registered for the Universal Peace Federation (UPF)
                              Officially registered for the UPF’s Oceania International Association of Academicians for Peace

Media Association: Facilitator for the Round Table workshop on Courts and Crime Reporting

Fesola’i Aleni Sofara who has been approached by the Media Association to be the Facilitator for the Round Table Workshop on Courts and Crime Reporting.

This event took take place on the 24th & 25th of September, 2020 at the Conference Room Lava Hotel.

Capacity Building Programme

The Government of Samoa initiative through Samoa Tourism Authority in collaboration with The National University of Samoa (Faculty of Business & Entrepreneurship) is offering a six months training for vulnerable people that were laid off in the Tourism and Hospitality Sector due to COVID-19.Training are offered to both islands (Savaii and Upolu). This training started on the 19th of October 20202 and will be completed in April 2021.There is an estimate of 105 participants from both Islands and the trainings are led by the Hospitality Staff from The Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship; Mrs. Agnes Chan and Mrs. Poutasi Onesome.

Leadership (Management) Training:

Oloamanu Training Center in collaboration with the Faculty of Business & Entrepreneurship has completed their Leadership Training with Ah Liki Investment.

This training was led by Mrs. Oloa Lipine and Mrs. Falenaoti Juliana Tuiletufuga.
